Aisher House

Aisher House, funded by the Sevenoaks School Foundation, opened in 2019 and is named after the Aisher family who are among Sevenoaks School’s greatest historical benefactors.

Jack Aisher was a local businessman and philanthropist, and a Governor at Sevenoaks School from 1964 to 1986. The Aisher Family had a significant impact on Sevenoaks School; when Jack Aisher joined the Board of Governors, it was the beginning of what has been described as ‘the golden period’ for the school. Soon after joining, Jack offered to match any sum raised for a new classroom and dining hall complex. They were completed in 1967, as well as the Aisher Hall Music Centre which was a personal gift of Eileen Aisher, Jack’s first wife. This included two orchestra rooms, auditorium, staffroom and storeroom and undoubtedly raised the standard of music at the school to the level it is today.

The newest member of the thriving Sevenoaks boarding community, Aisher House is situated in the heart of the Park Grange estate alongside Park Grange and the International Centre boarding houses. It accommodates 60 boys with study bedrooms clustered around their own social and communal hubs linking up to provide all year groups with light, modern facilities.
